Here’s a well crafted flame grain Lane Era Charatan’s Make Dublin-Double Comfort Bit! Made somewhere between 1950 and 1984. About 6″ long, bowl is 2 1/2″ tall, 1 1/2″ wide, tapering to 1″ at heel. ID 15/16″, depth 2″. An intertwined capital CP is stamped on side of bit. No other marks detected. Double Comfort Bit is well-seated push fit, no filter, cleaned and polished, showing a couple tooth impressions. Stummel is rich milk chocolate colored, flame grain, some dings and scratches, clean rim, lightly caked bowl. This is a well crafted and excellent old briar with a tall, generously sized bowl!
