No date was able to be found on the pipe based on the research since the circle group came out in 1951, we believe the pipe is from 1951 to 1954(when the patent number was last used). We do not re-stain, we believe this takes away from how its creator wanted. We like to celebrate the imperfections from life the estate pipe had and will continue to have. After restoring items for over 10 years, we know a thing or two to bring you the best. Here at SPW we were frustrated with the options pipe smokers had for restoring so we created our own Proprietary formulas using non toxic ingredients! Jumpstart SPW- We use this to coat the inside of the bowl, this allows you to build your own cake and really customize your experience! Protective formula SPW – We use this to protect your pipe for years to come. Final Formula SPW – This formula puts the final gloss and mirror shine on your pipe! Clean Grime and Dirt from shell. Using a diluated soap and soft bristle brush. Separate/inspect Stem and Stummel. Soak in oxy-clean bath 1. Soak in oxy-clean bath 2. Run in soapy water. Remove all residue of any Oxy clean. Clean inside of stem. Clean till a piper cleaner comes out clean. Sand using 12 steps of sand paper. Coat in mineral oil and bond with 750 Degree Heat. Provides protection from oxydiation. 2nd Coat in mineral oil and bond with 750 Degree Heat. Ream all visable cake till smooth. Alcohol/Salt Bath in custom oven-24 hours. Placed in 120 degree oven to loosen cake. Use 5 step sanding process to remove all cake till smooth. Placed in 120 degree oven to release old aromas. Final Bake with large activated charcoal-12 hours. Releases all previous signs of use and ghost smells. Clean inside of shank with alcohol. Should be able to take a full sniff with only minor hint of previous use. Clean any left over residue with mineral oil and brush. Mineral oil helps hydrate the wood and bring out the grain. Polish using professional buffer with White diamond compound. Polish using professional buffer with Carnauba wax. Coat Bowl with Jumpstart SPW Formula and activate using 750 Degree heat.
