Cesare Barontini 360° Straight Grain Dublin Smooth C05 Vintage Estate Pipe
We just unpacked the last eighty pipes from my extensive collection as I scale back for retirement. Here’s a rare straight grain one.. The straight grain is simply unbelievable. I bought this pipe about 1985 and it has been well maintained. If it had a higher production name, it would be worth more than double what I’m asking. Barontini was founded in 1890 opened a factory for the production of briar blocks and later finished pipes. Grandson Cesare Barontini took direction of the factory in 1955, which still holds together with his daughters Barbara and Silvia today. This is a CESARE BARONTINI Hand Made smooth straight grain natural finish extra large tapered Dublin bowl pipe. STAMPED ON THE UPPER SIDE OF THE SHANK IS: Cesare Barontini (script / signature) STAMPED ON THE LOWER SIDE OF THE STUMMEL IS: C05 (block capital letters) (Grading & Size). INSIDE DIAMETER: 15/16 inches. DEPTH OF BORE: 2 inches. WEIGHT: 1.82 ounces. THIS DUBLIN PIPE IS PRE-SMOKED BUT IN EXCELLENT CONDITION – PERFECT PIPE just has totally been sterilized and cleaned and waxed and polished.
