Irwin’s 9438 Chubby Rhodesian Tobacco pipe and Sleeve by GBD London England. This is perhaps one of the most recognized, respected and collected GBD shapes – the heavy bowled 9438 Chubby rhodesian! A very nice Example with exciting Flame grain and contrast made before 1980 (before the acquisition by Cadogan). A few knocks here and there, obviously well loved, but not abused. Chamber is in great smoked condition. Vulcanite stem is Jet black, Chatter Free and sports the “I” for Irwin’s stamp. Irwin’s Pipe Sleeve is included. Clean and Shiny, Ready to Smoke. Overall length: 5 3/16. Bowl height: 1 5/8. Bowl width: 1 1/4. Chamber depth: 1 5/16. Made in London England. Chamber is in great smoked condition with No Scorching, Ghosting or Rim Darkening. Vulcanite stem is Jet black and Chatter Free and fits the pipe shank snuggly. Cleaned inside/out and buffed with Carnauba wax.
