A timeless 1957 Dunhill Shell Briar F/T Model/shape#: 635. I love the clean lines from the shank, to saddle, to the wide button, almost aeronautical in nature. The texture is classic old Dunhill blast! Gnarly and full of character with deep blood red and brown all around the bowl and shank. No stain touchup done. Stamping presents extremely well with minimal thinning. There is a double date stamp. The “8” is to the bottom right of the group 3 circle stamp as seen in pic 9. Stem snugs in just right and is ready for an inner-tube! My tube was a touch on the loose side but it stayed in place and lined up just right in the bowl. The rim is almost perfect with no dingage or abuse. The inner rim is still crisp and the chamber remains full of life! This is a great sized pipe, less than an ounce, so he can be an all-day companion. The last pic is from before work done. Measurements: 5 1/4″ long, 1 3/4″ tall bowl, 1 5/16″ wide, 3/4″ bowl opening, and 1 1/2 bowl depth. 87oz or 24.8g. I know you have a lot of options here at the Bay. Lightly buffed/brushed out and hand rubbed and sealed with Paragon and Halcyon wax for preservation and easier cleaning. This pipe will be thoroughly clean and safe for your enjoyment.
