Vintage Estate W. Ø. Larsen Compact Billiard Volcano Pipe-Beautiful Details

This diminutive billiard from W. Larsen is a great combination of finishes and colors! The rim is smooth, bowl is sandblasted and the shank extension and spacers really set it off beautifully. About 4 3/4″ long, bowl is 1 5/8″ tall, 1 3/8 wide. ID 3/4″, depth 1 3/8″. Marked beneath shank extension W. LARSEN/ HANDMADE/ MADE IN DENMARK. WØL stamped on side of bit. No other marks detected. Saddle Bit is well-seated push fit with space for a small filter, cleaned and polished, showing slight chatter. Stummel is rich deep burgundy colored where blasted, walnut colored shank extension and clean rim, lightly caked bowl. Shank end has triple spacers, reddish acrylic bookended with white metal. A neat lot of vintage briar pipes. These are in overall fair to good used condition, some have a nice thick build up of carbon, some wear at the top, others looks barely used. The mouthpieces all have light teeth marks. Names listed in the title. One has a carved face on it. No makers mark on that one or a few others. One has a metal band with a 1918 patent date. Vintage Estate Brebbia Iceberg Semi Rustic Lumberman 800 Pipe-Fine Condition

The Brebbia model often referred to as “Iceberg” is actually labeled “Jceberg”. This is an outstandingly long semi rustic Lumberman from that house in fine condition. Fully 8″ long, bowl is 1 7/8″ tall, 1 3/4 wide. ID 7/8″, depth 1 5/8″. Marked beneath shank JCEBERG 800/ REAL BRIAR, to the right a seated gnome (the Brebbia logo), then BREBBIA/ ITALY. A white metal raised B medallion inlaid atop bit. No other marks detected. Bit is well-seated push fit, no filter, cleaned and polished, showing no bite wear. Stummel is rich honey colored, variable grain where smooth, nicely carved random rustic areas front, back of bowl and on shank, some patina of the years, clean rim and bowl.
