Quote from pipedia. Com: The House of Pibe-Dan was founded in Copenhagen in May, 1943, and was named for H. Pibe-Dan (Pipe-Dan) unfortunately closed in 1991, but during the 48 years it was in business it was the ultimate place to find pipes by Danish masters. This slim check mark tall chimney is typical of his Shape Reformed style as indicated on the briar. Probably an older piece, 70 years old I guess-no better indication. About 5 1/2″long, bowl is 2 1/4″ tall, 1 1/8 wide. ID 5/8″, depth 1 7/8″. Marked on one side of shank DAN SHAPE-REFORMED, other side PIPE-DAN/ COPENHAGEN 82. DAN stamped atop bit facing smoker. No other marks detected. Bit is push fit with a slight gap, no filter, cleaned and polished, showing no bite wear. Stummel is dark walnut colored, cross grain and birdseye, clean rim with some knock marks, cake in bowl. A small piece of pipe history! Please examine photos and ask questions.
