Vintage Mac Cranie Estate smoking XXL High Bowl pipe – 7 long. Acquired in the late 1970’s – early 1990’s, the collection included many exceptional pipes. See other pipes currently for sale including Champ of Denmark, McLary’s and several others. Research on this pipe indicates it was created by William Ashton Taylor of “Ashton” pipes in 1990. The Mc Cranies shop of Charlotte (NC) was the only shop ever allowed to sell Ashton’s as a private label pipe. This pipe is unlabeled except for the brass dots on the stem. This is an exceptionally large pipe, 7″ long, 2 3/4″ high bowl, 7/8″ diameter chamber, and 2 1/2″ deep chamber. Beautifully designed high bowl sitter. Large and small brass dots on the stem. Great addition to any fine collection of estate pipes.
