If 6 was 4. This Dunhill predates the four-digit stamping code by about a decade, and yet, as you can see, bears a four-digit series. I suspect there was some factory mis-stamping at play here. It was initially mistaken as a Group 4 (the circled “4”), then someone came along and attempted to correct the matter by finding a “6” stamp they could fit ahead of the “120” shape number. The pipe is definitely in Group 6 territory as far as a scale goes, and in relatively great condition for it’s age. There’s some minor rim darkening, but the chamber is in fantastic shape and ready for another lifetime of smoking.
