1961 Dunhill Tan Shell 44 Group 3 estate smoking pipe
Super clean and hard to find Dunhill Tan Shell Group 3 oval shanked Billiard Model/shape#: 44! Awe inspiring 360 degrees of ring grain all around the bowl in jagged waves like melting candle wax, wow! Medium and dark brown contrasting shades showing the subtle graining underneath the blasted textures. Rubber stem snugs in with no issues. An inner-tube fits into the stem securely, aligns up and ready to go if so inclined. Some claim that the Tan Shell is the best smoking finish for Dunhills. The last pic is from before work done. Measurements: 5 1/4″ long, 1 11/16″ tall bowl, 1 1/4″ wide, 3/4″ bowl opening, and 1 1/2 bowl depth. 82oz or 23.3g. I know you have a lot of options here at the Bay. I thank you for your consideration! Compare my vintage Dunhill prices with Smokingpipes! Basic recondition included de-oxidized, wet sanded, and polished stem. Draft hole cleaned out at 9/64. Lightly buffed/brushed out and hand rubbed and sealed with Paragon and Halcyon wax for preservation and easier cleaning. This pipe will be thoroughly clean and safe for your enjoyment. Please don’t be offended if I refuse an offer. I spend countless hours on each of these pipes making sure that my customers have an heirloom piece they can enjoy for years to come. There will likely be imperfections from years of use but I try to bring them as close to new as possible with my current skill set.
