A lot of vintage briar pipes. These are in overall good used condition, some have a nice thick build up of carbon, some wear at the top, one or two look barely used. The mouthpieces all have teeth marks, the one on the leather wrapped one looks rough. Names included are listed in the title plus a a Dr. Grabow Royal Duke, Derby Pigskin, and White Bar some unmarked. There is also a leather sling type holder. Caminetto is very much a family brand, now with three generations of Ascortis all sharing their craft under this name. Guiseppe Ascorti, or “Peppino” to his friends, was one of the original founders of the marque and played a large role in the brand’s early success. Ascorti later left Caminetto to continue his craft, but the “Pipa Del Baffo” (“the pipe with the mustache”) still held a special place in the hearts of the Ascorti family. This legacy is what led Peppino’s son, Roberto, to revive the old Caminetto name we know and love today. Caminetto pipes are currently made by Roberto and his son Tommaso or “Tommi” Ascorti. The workshop continues to feature many of the shapes which contributed to their spectacular success in the’70s, but recently there has also been something of a shaping/aesthetic revolution afoot. With Roberto and Tommi at the helm, Caminettos now bear either of two stamps: “AR” (Ascorti, Roberto) or “AT” (Ascorti, Tommaso). The AR line presents the work of either Roberto or Tomaso, and continues to include a fine combination of the Caminetto traditional shapes as well as many new, emerging forms. The AT line is Tommi’s alone, and features edge-pushing designs which, heretofore, would have been considered quite unexpected from Caminetto. I Tre Camini The original Caminetto marque was founded in the late’60s. After working as one of Castello’s principle artisans for over ten years, Peppino branched out and created his own independent workshop. Together with Luigi Radice, who also worked for Castello, and Gianni Davoli, they founded the Caminetto brand. “I tre Camini, ” as the trio were later known, soon made their mark on the world of pipes and pipe tobacco, particularly in the United States where Castello pipes were in large demand but extremely scarce – playing heavily on that Italian tradition while adapting and evolving it to something very much their own. This 2013 RINALDO TRIADE TITANIA YYYY HIGH GRADE ITALIAN BRIAR ESTATE SMOKING PIPE BIG! The perfect addition for any pipe collection. Crafted with top-quality Italian briar, this pipe is in excellent condition and has been well-maintained. Whether you are a seasoned collector or a new enthusiast, this RINALDO TRIADE T ITANIA YYYY HIGH GRADE BRIAR pipe is sure to impress. This is a VERY MUSCULAR pipe!! In 1987, the two brothers founded “Rinaldo Pipes” with the intention of creating fine handmade (fatta a mano) pipes with highly personalized lines fitted with silver and gold treatments that distinguish their exquisite pipes from the vast panorama of pipes. Their production is very limited since Elio and Guido are the sole ones to make the Rinaldo pipe. This has been their wish from the very first day the factory was started. Because of this loyalty to solely crafting their pipes, the smoker is guaranteed that each phase of the work is being maintained by skilled and expert hands. Each Rinaldo pipe is made from the very best Mediterranean briar and Elio and Guido select each briar block for its compact texture and regular veining. The acrylic mouthpieces are perfectly balanced and studied for optimal dental grip. This attention to detail results in a mouthpiece that has a pleasant and “easy hold” and is truly a “work of art”. The Rinaldo pipe is currently offered in the following finishes: Lithos(Rustic) – Sahara(Sandblast) – Triade(Smooth). The Rinaldo pipes are divided into three lines: Briar Line(All Briar) – Silver Line(Silver Ornaments) – Gold Line(Gold Ornaments).
