Moderate chew to the bit. Date code of 16 stamped on pipe after “Made in London England 16″ indicates the pipe dates from 1939. Total length approximately 5.5. Bowl is roughly 1.75 diameter. There is a hollow metal rod in the tenon and through the shank to the bowl. I’m not familiar enough with pipes to know if that’s there to aid in delivering the tobacco to your mouth or if it’s a device to clean the air passage of debris. Be aware it is in there and can be removed or left in as you see fit. The stem comes off to give you access to this inner rod. It seems to be some extra piece added in the pipes 85 year existence, but it can be removed easily if not needed. Thanks for your business!

1950 Parker PAT Briar Bark 191/F estate smoking pipe

A beautiful blasted Super Briar Bark Billiard from Parker! I only wish it still had the patented 116989/17 inner-tube! Classic Dunhill style oozes from this guy. Smooth solid finish deep-deep garnet red. He has pretty thin walls like a lot of early pipes from this era, so keep your bowls cool! A good cake remains after a bit of evening out to help protect those thin walls but there is a good chunk that chipped away when reaming from one side that will need some attention when building it back up. No real damage found on the rim or anywhere else although the rim looks like it has some tray tapping flattening a bit as seen in the bowl pic. Non filter original rubber stem snugs in nicely. I tried to preserve the “P” logo stamping the best I could, a faint bit of white paint remains in the diamond as well as some remaining oxidization. Stamping is good but a bit shallow on the bottom. The last pic is from before work done showing his well preserved condition. Measurements: 6 3/4″ long, 1 3/4″ tall bowl, 1 1/8″ wide, 7/8″ bowl opening, and 1 9/16 bowl depth. Weight: 1.02oz or 29g. I know you have a lot of options here at the Bay. I thank you for your consideration! Recondition included de-oxidized, wet sanded, and polished stem. Draft hole cleaned out at 5/32. Reamed to about 1/16 cake. Lightly buffed/brushed out and hand rubbed and sealed with Paragon and Halcyon wax for preservation and easier cleaning. This pipe will be thoroughly clean and safe for your enjoyment. Please don’t be offended if I refuse an offer. There will likely be imperfections from years of use but I try to bring them as close to new as possible with my current skill set. Vintage Parker London Select Briar Pipe Classic Apple London England Great Cond

For your consideration we have a Vintage Parker London Select classic apple briar pipe. This pipe has been cleaned and polished and is ready to be smoked once again. As shown in my photos the Parker info is on the left shank and the Made in info on the right shank. This pre-owned pipe is in very good condition & as you can see the white P logo on the stem is still very nice. This pipe is basically a Dunhill that was considered imperfect so it was made into their 2nd brand Parker. The smoking quality is the same as a Dunhill would be. Weight is 1.5oz. Length is 5 3/4. Height is 1 3/4. Bowl Top Diameter is 1″ & the overall diameter is about 1 1/4″ and the chamber is about 13/16. Dating this pipe is not easy since it has no other markings. This means it could be during the WWII time when they stop stamping all the extra info OR it could be after 1957 when again they stopped doing date info. Like life itself it is a mystery.
