For your consideration we have a Vintage Stanwell Selected Briar pipe. I think this is a Pear type shape. This pipe has been cleaned and polished and is ready to be smoked once again. As shown in my photos the underside of the shank has the stamping Selected Briar 75 and the top reads STANWELL REGD NO 969-48 HAND MADE IN DENMARK. This pre-owned pipe is in Excellent condition. The stem is black vulcanite with a crisp Stanwell logo and NO filter can be used. Weight is 1.4oz. Length is 5 1/2. Height is 1 3/4. Diameter is about 1 5/16″ and the chamber is ALMOST 7/8″. As show this pipe is a sitter. Their is some nice birds eye on the heel and various types of grain around the bowl. I think this is a high grade Stanwell pipe & after careful inspection I find no fills nor flaws. I think is pipe could be from the 1950’s.
