GORGEOUS Pre 1960s Deluxe System Smooth (8s) P-Lip with Sterling silver Mount Tobacco Pipe. In the Deluxe System series, Peterson’s “313” bent Billiard is stamped 8s. ” It’s a staple within the System series, dating back to Peterson’s first catalog in 1896, and outside the System line, the design is designated as the “338. ” The Irish marque’s iconic shaping style is often described as “tubular” and muscular, and the “8s does well to exemplify this convention. The bowl rises tall and upright, posing a cylindrical, tube-like disposition, while the shank and transition retain the aforementioned hearty and robust proportions. That said, the overall length remains quite compact, and the sinuous bend provides a comfortable clenching posture – the gesture of the stem and curling heel calling to mind the profile of the iconic “05” shape but without the bowl’s flare at the rim. Pre 1960s due to the reminents of the Bone tenon extension, which came to me broken and I have left partially intact, Peterson discontinued the use of bone in the 60s. Chamber is in great smoked condition, Vulcanite Stem is Jet black and Chatter Free. Beautiful mix of Birds eye and Flame Grain with a light near natural finish. Clean and Shiny, Ready to Smoke. Overall length: 5 3/8. Bowl height: 1 3/4. Bowl width: 1 1/8. Chamber depth: 1 5/16. Chamber is in outstanding smoked condition with No Scorching, Ghosting or Rim Darkening. Stem is Jet black Vulcanite, Chatter free and fits the pipe shank snuggly. Cleaned inside/out and buffed with Carnauba wax.

Here I present you a wonderful handmade pipe. UNSMOKED, L’Anatra, Gigante, 2 Eggs, dalle Uova d’Oro. Silver, Bent shape , handmade in Italy, pipe! Look at the beautiful grain of this large size pipe! This one is awesome. Unsmoked, well balanced, a m asterpiece by the famous Italian brand, L’Antra! So, the pipe, might have to go through additional cleaning before being smoked. During the next few weeks I will post pipes and pipe related items from the late Dr. Gad Rosen, my dear friend from the Israeli Pipe Club, who passed away few months ago. Gadi was a true pipe enthusiast, and he built an impressive collection during the past four decades. He was a serious collector, and a gentle smoker, as most of his pipes are lightly smoked, with bowls and rims in very good condition. As an experienced pipe smoker, and as a friend of Gad, I have taken up the task, along with my friends in the IPC, of finding a new home for his massive collection. Most of the pipes are unsmoked, or very lightly smoked in great condition. Few pipes will need more thorough cleaning. I will do my best to post accurate photos, and write an honest description, and as detailed as I can. You are welcome to ask any question, and contact me with every problem you should experience, and I will solve every problem, should one occur.
